Someone you know is probably malnourished

Are you certain that you and your loved ones are giving your bodies what they need to be healthy? In a recent contribution to Good Nutrition: Perspectives for the 21st Century, Lawrence Haddad (CEO, GAIN), asks us to think again.

Haddad demonstrates that malnutrition is hiding “all around you”, from “your friend’s baby who just won’t grow properly through lack of the right kind of feeding and care”, to “your sibling who has diabetes because of too much sugar”. It’s in obesity, lack of exercise, exhaustion, carelessness – in short, it’s there in the passivity and lack of respect we show to our bodies, which comes from having everything come so easily. And it’s dangerous.

In 2016 and 2017 we had the privilege to edit Good Nutrition: Perspectives for the 21st Century – the full text of Dr. Haddad’s thought-provoking observations can be found here.
